The Evans project is a bathroom remodel. The main requirement in this project was a spacious shower which didn't require a shower curtain or a door. The shower, which was once a small bathtub surround made out of redwood and with an old worn bathtub, is now a light, spacious mosaic art mural depicting elements of the sea.
The mosaic is made from scraps of glass tiles and hand made (by me) ceramic fish. The walls are a collage of various 12" X 12" honed marble tiles. Three hand made marble corner shelves offer ample storage for hair and skin care products. The shower floor is a collage of broken marble, bits of glass, and ceramic fish and starfish. |
