 New World Tile Design is a unique tile design service founded by Diane Szczepanski in 1984. Upon receiving her B.A. in Fine Art from Sonoma State University, she began her apprenticeship as a tile setter. While in school, her experience with clay sculpture sparked an interest in tile as an artistic medium. Mastering the craft of tile installation combined practical knowledge with her artistic sense of design.
Since that time, Diane has studied interior design and kitchen & bath design. Her tile experience is diverse ad includes teaching mosaic workshops, designing tile and concrete tables, creating mosaic home accessories, and residential design and installation. Her wide range of experience offers her clients a comprehensive understanding of the design and building process. She listens to her clients. Her designs reflect the personal need of her clients, emphasizing optimal function and aesthetics. She will guide you through the entire process beginning with the selection of the tile and stone, help you clarify your vision, develop the design, and define the goal of your project. Diane and her work have received national media attention. She was spotlighted in a segment of NBC's "Wine Country Living Show" in December, 2002. Her spectacular "Down Under" bathroom design and installation was featured in the June-August, 2001 edition of the Woman's Day Specials: Custom Kitchen & Bath magazine. Her lovely "Meditation Bath" and her fun "Kids' Bath" designs and installations were featured in the April, 2002 edition of Woman's Day Kitchen & Bath, Volume XII #1.
